MX110 as a stand alone tuner

Here's the first dumb question of the new year.....

I have an MX110 that I'd like to use as a stand alone tuner.....how do I hook it up to another preamp, bypassing the 110's preamp section????

You might try the tape out jacks to another pre amp.

I'm using a Marantz 2265B as a tuner and I just use the tape outs it works great.

OK guys....still have a problem...

I've got the MX110 connected to another preamp via the tape monitor rcs jacks and have pushed the tape monitor rocker swithc to quot;outquot; and can still get nothing.  I also tried the rocker in the quot;inquot; position (defying logic) and naturally that doesn't work either.  I know the tuning section is functioning as the stereo lite is on and the stations are being received.

What the heck am I overlooking here????

Do you mean the  quot;tape headquot; rca jacks should be used between the MX110 and the other preamp??

Right now I have the ICs connected at the quot;tape monitorquot; rca jacks to the other preamp and when I push the rocker for either quot;tape outquot; or quot;tape inquot; I get nothing....

GOT IT!

I never realized the tape RCA jacks were on the other end of the back of the unit as I never us tape.....
